Domestic violence is obviously a bad thing
But in America angry irrational people often have a gun to hand.
Angry irrational ex husband in London last week needed to get hold of a crossbow to kill his pregnant ex wife.
As said nothing will change the gun lobby. Any incident is painted as a reason why MORE guns are needed for ‘protection’.

I dont think they should ban guns, keep the second amendment but restrict or ban the sale of these automatic guns, how many mass shootings were there prior to these automatic weapons being available at the local supermarket?

There will always be guns, it is in the constitution..It is just a matter of what steps we will have to make people safer.. I have no problem with certain restrictions but stop with banning guns, it isn't going to happen..

And that is true. Many of them grow up around guns, there are guns everywhere they go, they are used to hunt or home protection.
But there has been a strong shift in the years I’ve been here from a somewhat rational position on gun restrictions and laws and an interpretation of the second amendment as applying to the national guard - to a point where all rationality is out the window.
It’s become a key wedge issue for the gop and the right wing media and it’s used alongside god and abortion to get conservative voters to the polls, or extract cash from them on the right wing media network.

You gotta be joking... pretty sure I read the Met has had to make nigh on a £1bn in cuts in all.... lowest coppers per head of the population ever... I don't know where you live but Essex has been decimated old bill wise... gone from 80 stations in the county to 30... I don't see them anymore... I do see loads of drug deals happening in broad daylight and plenty of other shit that I never used to see happening... any old Bill now is more of a social worker now than an actual copper... I'm no lefty or no right winger... but to say it's got fuck all to do with Police cuts is laughable...
